It was a Saturday night my papa and mumma were planning to go for farm visit. My parents told me about it and I was super excited. The next morning me and my family woke up early and got ready to go to the farm. We had a quick breakfast and started the journey to the farm.

On the way we try to take a short cut but it was a wrong turn and we saw a big pit in the middle of the shortcut road. We had to return back to the main road and we lost some crucial time. It took more than 2 Hours to reach there. We learnt an important lesson “NO SHORT CUTS IN LIFE AND ALWAYS USE THE RIGHT ROAD”. Then we reached the Bristlecone Hosachiguru farm.

Wow! There were so many trees everywhere and the climate was amazing. My brother touched a 15 days young calf named “Bheema” and I touched a bull named Krishna, who was very calm, cool and quite. There was a lovely cottage and we met Shriram Uncle. He gave us a tour of the farm. First we went to see the teak and sandalwood plantation. I learnt that the sandalwood tree needs support from friendly parasitic tree for its growth. I also learnt about micro climate. In the sun it is hot like summer and in the tree shade it is cool like winter. Later we went to a garden and there was fresh vegitables. We were told that we had the same vegitables for lunch which was so very tasty.

We saw different kinds of vegitables namely lady’s finger, palak, chillies, and tomatoes. And theaunty from the farm told to me to call her sister. After lunch we went in our cottage to take some rest. I watched a movie with my brother after that we went to see the nursery where all the plants were kept and there were 2 dogs namely “Bruno and Bullet” and I was really scared. I also saw the farm tank and PIPE DRIG IRRIGATION SYSTEM. Also we took many photos then it was tea time we all had wonderfull milk, and others had tea and coffee.

Bruno....

The most wonderful thing was me and my brother Dhiwyanshu got to plant saplings, its name was “SANTALUM ALBUM” also known as “SANDLWOOD”. I LEARNT THAT THE FOOD COMES FROM A FARMER AND EVERY FARMER IS LIKE A GOD. THIS WAS THE BEST DAY EVER. I WILL MAKE A VISIT AGAIN AS I HAD A LOT OF WONDERFUL MEMORIES.
